Welcome to the Xavier Media 10-Year Anniversary Page!
In 1996, Xavier Media began as an idea. In 2006, it has become a growing family of websites, projects and online experiments.

Ten years ago, the web looked very different. Pages were smaller, slower, simpler and often built by hand. Yet the possibilities felt endless.

Xavier Media grew out of that spirit — the excitement of publishing online, creating useful things, experimenting with design and building communities through links, content and curiosity.

SEO Then & Now

During Xavier Media's first 10 years, search visibility evolved from basic submissions and directories into a more advanced discipline.

In the late 1990s, traffic often came from human-edited directories, link exchanges and keyword-heavy pages. By 2006, search engines had become central, and smarter strategies were beginning to replace pure volume tactics.

SEO Snapshot - 2006
- Title tags still matter a lot
- Backlinks remain essential
- Content themes are becoming more important
- Search engines are getting better at detecting spam
- Usability and trust are starting to matter more

Looking Ahead

Ten years is only the beginning. The web will continue to change, and Xavier Media will continue to explore what can be built on it.

More projects, more experiments, more publishing and perhaps a few surprises are still to come.
